Item #obl35, Sweet Ivory Rayon or Silk 1920s Slip

  • Simple yet sweet ivory/off white rayon or silk unstructured slip with machine made lace at neckline and hemline

  • Ca. 1920s, possibly 30s - no label
  • Slip is slightly A-line, unstructured flapper style with non-adjustable fabric straps in a darker shade of ivory
  • Diagonal cut along the hemline possibly seamstress made to wear under a specific dress? Slip is slightly longer on the right side than the left; diagonal dart at each side of bust runs to waist
  • Measures and should fit up to 33" bust, 30" waist, 36" hips, straps are 9" long (could be stitched or pinned to hold up if too long), 43" from strap to hem on left side, 45" total length from strap to hem on right side.
  • In very good to excellent condition for its age; some age yellowing to the straps, no holes or stains

  • Simple white cotton full length Victorian nightgown with ruffled cuffs and triple rows of vertical pintucking on the shoulders/bust

  • Ca. 1800s or early 1900s, no label probably seamstress made
  • Two tiny white buttons down the front button placket; soft small ruffle around the neck; backside is plain without adornment.
  • Measures approx size M - 36" bust, 15" across shoulders, up to 38" waist (slight A-line shape allows free movement at bedtime) free hips, arm length is 21" from shoulder to cuff edge, 48" total length from shoulder to hemline
  • In excellent condition with no holes, frays, fade or stains. Bleahced, clean and very white...

  • Ca. 1800s, early 1900s, no label possibly seamstress made

  • Cotton is slightly sheer and lightweight; set on cuffs on each arm
  • Measures approx size M - 36" bust, 15" across shoulders, up to 42" waist (slight A-line shape allows free movement at bedtime!) free hips, arm length is 20" from shoulder to cuff edge, 50" total length from shoulder to hemline
  • In excellent condition with no holes, frays, fade or stains. One pinhead sized brown spot on the left shoulder, gown is clean and very white...

  • Wonderful warm rose pink silky & sheer silk ladies' hankerchief with matching handrolled edges

  • Ca. 1940s, probably older; 'Sally Gee Made in Japan' label
  • Hanky has a slight sheen and is 100% silk; the Victorians called this color 'Ashes of Roses'
  • Measures 16" x 16" square
  • In very good to excellent condition with no holes, stains, fade, etc. Does have scattered wear snags around the edges and one smaller than matchhead sized dark mark near the center. Has been cleaned and pressed.
  • Lovely color.....if you like rose or mauve, then this beauty is for you! Wonderful dresser topper or pocket square.

  • Outstanding, rich & expensive looking multi-colored silk square scarf in deep shades of ruby, dark blue, olive green and gold

  • Ca. 1970s or 80s - 'Hand Rolled Silk Made in Italy' label
  • Center design is a swirling wonder of paisley and scrollwork; outer edges are Roman squares in olive and grey green
  • Measures 18" x 18" square
  • In excellent condition with no holes, stains, fade, etc. There is a very, very faint dime sized darker area on the gold square (only seen when held up to light) and a couple of very faint speckles there as well. That is all.
  • This is a true beauty! Perfect as a neck scarf, a pocket square or for a gift.....clean and pressed carefully.

  • Bright and cheery sheer nylon square scarf in a rich, bright shade of golden yellow with peach, sage, lilac and red modernist fruity floral design

  • Ca. 1950s or 60s, no label - scarf appears to be a nylon/rayon blend and is silky smooth
  • Handrolled edges in matching yellow
  • Measures 22" by 22" square
  • In excellent condition with no holes, stains, fade, etc. There are a couple of tiny pin sized snags but they blend into the design. Has been clean and pressed.

  • Beautiful lot of two off white, ivory narrow head scarves - one shiny satin, the other rayon or polyester

  • Ca. 1960s or 70s, no labels- possibly handmade
  • Scarves have points at each end and would easily work as a sash or belt (depending on your waist size) as well as gorgeous head or neck scarves
  • Measure: satin 4/5" wide by 46" total length; rayon 4" wide by 48" total length
  • In excellent condition with no holes, stains, frays, fade, etc. Have been washed and ironed and are ready to wear
