American Vintage Blues is
a mail order/web vintage clothing store established in 1997. We
specialize in dead stock (never worn) and gently used antique and
collectible denim and clothing. We are located in the heart of the
Midwest, in Illinois and our supply sources are vast. We offer
"wish list" requests so if you are looking for something in
particular and don't see it on our website please ask! We just may
have what you are looking for tucked away somewhere, or may be able
to find it for you.

We gladly accept echeck payments via PayPal.com only;
please note we wait for check clearance before shipping (usually 3

Gift
certificates available
in $10.00, $25.00, $50.00 & $100.00 U.S. denominations. Email us
directly and mention Item No. VBGC, with requested amount AND the
email address of the intended recipient and we will email you back
with your total and directions for paying. If you have items in your
shopping cart, and want to add a gift certificate, please do so in
the 'Other/Comments' field.

Regular
policies: US ONLY Shipping - Effective June 2007, All
shipping is handled by USPS Priority mail confirmed with your order
being shipped within 3-4 business days (plus an additional 2 to 3
days for arrival). Normal shipping/handling charge is $6.95; boxes
over 2 lbs. in weight, or fragile items will have an additional shipping/handling
charge of $2.50 per item or addl. 2 lbs. If
you need an item fast, please
choose the Overnight shipping method when checking out. RUSH items
are shipped US Express Mail overnight for $32.00 for up to 4 lbs
(shipped within 12-24 hours, with addl. 24 hours for delivery).
Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will ship the following Monday
(please allow additional time for receipt, normally 2-3 days for
Priority Mail/24 hours for Express overnight). New policy eff. 07/28/07.
International
Shipping Information
(Effective 1 June 2007):
American Vintage Blues gladly accepts purchases from
international buyers with Visa, Mastercard OR PayPal.com
only. Charges for international shipment of items can vary
according to location, size, and weight. If you need an item
fast, please let us know at the time of order, so we can locate the
best, most reasonable way of shipping. Our preferred method is US
Priority International Airmail (1-2 light items for
only $24.00 U.S. - NO COATS OR SHOES) or International Airmail Parcel
Post for countries that don't accept Global Priority. International
airmail is slightly higher cost than Priority ($36.00 U.S.).
Surface/boat shipping is also available (but normally takes 6-8 weeks
to arrive). More than 2 items AND heavy items will automatically ship
via Airmail Parcel Post ($46.00 U.S.) Orders ship within 4 business
days - please allow 7-14 additional days for delivery (Priority is
usually a maximum of 8 business days, however we have had
international shipments take up to 21 days to arrive depending country.)
Priority International and Global
Express shipments are automatically insured - orders shipped via
Airmail Parcel Post OR Ground (boat) may have an insurance charge
added of $2.50 U.S. NOTE: Express & Priority shipments ONLY can
be tracked via the US Postal Service website at www.usps.com - please
do not ask us to track your package. We truly have no control over
delivery once it leaves the U.S.

Due to a rash of problems with false orders, credit card numbers, and
other issues we are no longer accepting any orders from
Africa, Bolivia, Columbia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco,
Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Senegal, Taiwan, Thailand, Uganda &
Singapore + any other countries we deem necessary. These orders WILL
be cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Item Returns:
We make every effort to insure that all items
are accurately described and represented. If, however, you are not
satisfied with an item you purchase through us you should notify us
immediately (either by email, fax or phone) with the problem. We
don't issue refunds, but we will issue a credit on your account with
us or exchange your item within
10 days of purchase.
Credit will be issued as soon as we receive the item and have a
chance to inspect its condition. Only the item amount will be
credited. Shipping charges will not be credited. PLEASE
note! Don't
simply send the item back as you won't receive credit/exchange that
way! Let us know ahead of time either via email, fax or phone. Items
sent back without a prior acknowledgement AND items returned after
our 10 day return period will be accepted back solely at our
discretion and will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Remember:
Vintage clothing is fragile! Thank you!

suits, dresses, vintage tees and other items to various theatre and
movie productions including several student films, The School of
Rock, Sahara, Friday Night Lights, HBO, the Shubert Theatre in
Chicago, American Eagle Outfitters and more. Our pricing is pretty
low throughout our catalog, but if you find you are interested in
more than one item please let us know before ordering as we would be
happy to discount 10%. We are also happy to RUSH your delivery to you
if necessary and can use either our normal couriers or your's if you
prefer (just provide your account number!) We also offer a FREE

Consign
Your Valuable Vintage With Us! American Vintage Blues now accepts
consignment vintage or antique pieces! All you need to do is send us
an email listing in as much detail as possible the items you'd like
to consign and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. We accept
clothing, accessories and jewelry (both men's and women's), from the
1800s through the 1970s. Please note that condition is crucial, so
describe each item as accurately as possible, including any flaws or
repairs, so we can get a clear picture of what we might be interested
in (any pictures you can include are very appreciated!) If we decide
that we'd like to consider your items we ask you to ship them to our
office so we can do a final inspection. Certified, Express or UPS is
best and we will sign for them OR email/mail you a receipt. Upon
receipt of your goods, we will email you that the items have been
processed and let you know of our definite interest and pricing
approximation. Any items that we decide not to sell would be shipped
back to you within 48 hours of inspection. Note, consigned items are
kept on our premises, and pricing is subject to both style, size,
condition and wearability. We will pay you 67% of the selling price
within 30 days after an item has sold. (Our fee is 33% or, rather,
1/3rd of the selling price. Eff. 01/2007). Your payment will be made
via direct Paypal deposit, mailed check or immediate trade - your
choice! On occasion we do decide to buy items outright and we can
inform you of what our buy price is by the individual piece or whole
lot. So get moving and clean out that attic, hit those estate sales,
grab Granny's old clothes and make some extra cash! Please note
length of consignment can be anywhere from 30 days to 1 year
depending on A) how long you want to maintain the item(s) on our site
and B) whether we feel the item will move. Unfortunately we cannot
guarantee an item will sell although we do advertise through various
media periodically and have a good ranking through Alexa. (Updated
01/07) We ask that you leave your consigned items with us for at
least a year as they will be periodically added to our site
(depending on how many items you have), rotated, etc. After a year we
will gladly return whatever you ask at our cost.
